noodle loaf

actually, i regret i missed last month's MasBar event. the theme was egg, quite simple though but i couldn't find any recipe that best suites the theme.. hehe. and for this June's edition, we're cooking with noodles..

i like noodles, me and my family, all of us love noodles. fried noodles is the best one, i guess so. but i'm not going to make fried noodles this time, i made noodle loaf.. i've been keeping this recipe for quite long. i just never find any occasion to cook this. i got this recipe from the internet, from a food-blogger by the time i haven't blog. honestly, i really did forget where exactly the blog is, i'm so sorry. i modified this recipe.. cut down the recipe as usual and add another ingredients. tasty enough for me, but not for my little brother. he thinks it should be more tasty.

this is one quite simple recipe, it actually uses egg noodle, i just used instant noodles. you know instant noodles have its own seasoning inside, i add them all. just choose the right flavor to enrich the taste of your loaf.

Noodles Loaf

250 gr instant noodles / egg noodles
250 gr minced beef / minced chicken
400 ml milk
4 eggs, lightly beaten
1 onions, chopped
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1 tsp ground nutmeg
2 tbsp butter
instant noodles seasoning
grated cheese for topping

direction:
  1. prepare 9 aluminium foil cups, ramekins will do, even a large pie plate. preheat oven to 400 deg F.
  2. cook instant noodles until half cooked, remove from heat and drain. set aside.
  3. heat the butter, then sautee the onion until becoming very fragrant. add the minced beef, cook until  change in color, season with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and instant noodles seasoning. stir evenly. remove from heat.
  4. pour in the milk and beaten egg into the beef. add in the noodles and mix until all of the ingredients are incorporated.
  5. divide the mixture into cups / ramekins. top with grated cheese, bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
that's all for today folks! thanks for reading, have a good day! :)
